Savor by Shauna Niequist is her first devotional book.  365 one-page devotionals, including a reflection question and recipes scattered in between.

The book itself is beautiful.  Hard bound with simple printing.  Each day read to me as a bit of a conversation.  Some of the devotionals are excerpts from books, some are pieces of blog posts, but all are thoughts from Niequist on subjects God has laid on her heart.

As the introduction says, the purpose of this book is to help any reader savor a few moments with God, to consider a viewpoint perhaps not considered before, and to spend time reflecting on a time in life where God was present and available.

If you have enjoyed any of Niequist’s books, then you will treasure Savor.  If you are looking to introduce someone to Shauna Niequist, this is a great book to start with.  I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

In exchange for an honest review, I received a free copy of this book.  The opinions are my own.
