Book Review: God’s Beloved Daughters

“When God’s daughters learn to walk in the truths and the principles that govern God’s kingdom, they will effect a change in their own lives, in their families, their communities, the Church, and the world.”  Developing the habit of a consistent “quiet time” or time dedicated to focusing on personal relationship with God everyday can be challenging in the daily grind of life.  Using a guided devotional can help keep the focus where it needs to be, but it can also be limiting.  Because each devotional varies in the daily writings generally it can be easy enough to find one that will be encouraging or thought provoking, yet I have found fewer that also reveal different areas of study to explore.

God’s Beloved Daughters is written specifically for women and I found it to be similar to Jesus Calling in structure, different in that it is written from author to reader.  Each month is divided into a subject to focus on.  God’s Provision, The Heart of the Home, Addressing Misconceptions peaked my interest first.  I found each subject heading to hold variety, truth and something I wanted to explore a bit further.

I think this is a great choice for a daily devotional for any woman desiring a guided reading for their quiet time.  I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

In exchange for an honest review I was given a free ebook copy of God’s Beloved Daughters via booklookbloggers the opinion expressed is my own.
