Mrs Disciple’s #FridayFive Link Up always has a creating prompt to consider! I love this week’s Five Days I Would Live Again.
Our wedding day was such a fun day. Of course, I was nervous, and there was way too much to try to remember. I’d love to go back not only to see my groom for the first time again but to dance together, eat cake and celebrate with our friends and family.
Winning the Victory Bowl
My kids have grown up on the football field, but a beautiful day in November where their dad wins a bowl game at home in overtime? Well, that’s a once in a lifetime experience.
There is a lot of details I still remember about the weekend including surprising Ordell with the attendance of his brother and our nephew. It’s the only game they’ve seen him coach live and it was a great one!
The day my kids saw the ocean for the first time was pretty awesome. This is their first step into an ocean of any kind. Since we lived in the Midwest up until a few years ago, the ocean was an expensive trip. Now, it’s a 6-hour drive, and we intend to take advantage of that.
Even in May, the water was warm. There were dolphins swimming close enough to see their fins and of course their leaps! The sunsets were the best of course, and this picture is right at sunset.
The Field Museum growing up in the Chicago suburbs I didn’t realize how blessed we were to have great museums around. When you have little boys a trip to see dinosaur bones is a must. My mom was gracious enough to treat us to a day at the Field Museum. Of course, we didn’t get to see everything, but watching my boys sit in awe of the size of the dinosaurs, and the Egyptian tombs were really fun. It was also the first time I realized our older son understood what a coffin was and all that laid in it.
A free family day was a pretty regular occurrence back in the days of two littles. Thanks to Lowes and Home Depot we would head to build something and usually a free snack. Sometimes we’d cash in a coupon or gift card earned from My Points or Swagbucks for lunch out as well.
