We’re wrapping up the second month of 2021 and I have to say I’m bracing myself for the most insane year of our lives, which is saying something considering 2020. We made several optimistic choices last month, and I’ve found the positive attitudes but energizing and disheartening. It’s been challenging to remain positive as chaos has started to creep into our daily life but we’re taking things one week at a time. I’m linking up with Heather Gerwing for another month of Share Four Somethings!
This month I’ve loved starting my new local business partnership with Soul Care. The owner of Soul Care, Kelly, is a fellow football coach’s wife, and also a fellow enneagram and powersheets lover! But what I love about Kelly is that she saw a need in our community and she has created an amazing space that fills it in multiple ways.
If you’re local check out Soul Care for your next retreat, seminar, or when you need an hour of quiet time away from the kids.

I had so much fun speaking with Coach Lemmi of The Christian Coach Podcast this month. Check out our interview and share this with your Coach too!
This month Ordell and I spent time reflecting on our partnership. We’ve spent a lot of time learning how to work together as a team to best serve football teams. Coach Walk’s Corner videos generally discuss coaching philosophy and leadership development. In honor of Valentine’s Day, we sat down to record some thoughts on how coaches thrive when their wives partner in ministry with them.
Reflecting on the last 20 years so confirming that we are exactly where God called us to be.
I can’t believe it, but next month we’ll be back on the football field for games! It will be almost exactly a year since our state went on lockdown but as of right now we’re going to play games in the snow, rain, or sun! I’m preparing for a typical mid-March here in Central IL and have purchased foot warmers in bulk. Regardless, I’m excited to use my new camera lens (purchased 2 Christmases ago!) on the field!
