Share Four Somethings January 2021

It’s January 2021. I was so relieved to turn the page on my calendar that I skipped through the first few days with starry eyes and hope welling up in my heart. Well, it didn’t last long. However, that’s life right? That’s why we don’t put our hope in humans. Regardless of a crummy start to the month, there’s a lot to celebrate in our house. I’m linking up with Heather Gerwing for another month of Share Four Somethings!

Something Loved

Elijah gets his permit

We have a new permit driver in the house! I’m thankful that this year isn’t robbing us of every experience. Learning to drive is a right of passage for teenagers and it’s one I’m thankful we don’t have to miss.

I loved seeing our son excited about something new. With the tennis season on hold until the weather warms up it’s fun to have a new adventure to fill some time.

Something Read (or Said)

The BIble Recap

This year one of my Thrive goals is to Thrive Spiritually. I’m reading through The Bible using The Bible Recap Plan and book.

(Thanks to Heather and Kelly for the suggestion!)

Reading through Job this month was a big challenging with everything else going on in the world, and yet the reflections were still timely. In particlular I appreciated the reminders that not all Job’s friend’s insights were helpful or wise. I also found Tara’s insights about the importance of reading the Bible in context important.

Something Treasured

One of the things I’ve treasured the most about 2021 is partnering with Ordell in developing Coach Walk’s Corner. I know every wife is biased, about their husband’s coaching philosophy, but my man is wise. 😉 The most recent videos are a three-part series focusing on the Key Things Players Should Leave a Program Understanding. These videos average about 10 minutes each so they are great for grabbing those short nuggets of wisdom.

Something Ahead

Smart and Frugal Moms Conference

I’m so excited to be a featured speaker at the Smart and Frugal Moms Conference! This is my first time participating in a digital conference as a presenter and Charissa has been kind and encouraging. She has a true desire to support women and provide the best resources possible at reasonable prices. You can attend this 5-day conference for $10 and learn from 20 different speakers.

I’m linking up with Heather Gerwing for January 2021 Share Four Somethings! We’d love for you to join us.
