It’s time for November Share Four Somethings! We’re nearing the end of 2020 and I bet you are as excited as I am to wave hello to 2021. There is no doubt that this has been a difficult year for many reasons, but that doesn’t mean I can’t find some positive things to celebrate!
This fall has been very different for our family in that we have not spent our weekends on the football field for the first time ever. At first, I wasn’t sure how this would go. How does a family that is used to always being on the go adjust to staying still? But you know what? This forced rest has been really great for all of us. Our kids have each pursued new interests and have enjoyed the freedom to thrive independent of the normal routine. I seized the open calendar slots and stepped back into college ministry as the FCA chaplain for the local college swim and dive team. Our small group found a great rhythm by the end of the semester and I’m looking forward to what the spring holds. We even found new routines within our marriage roles sharing the cooking and shopping more evenly. While I still wonder if the day will ever come that coaching isn’t a part of our lives, this peek into the post-coaching world has been a positive one!
This month I created a list of book recommendations for you to consider adding to your Christmas Wishlist! There are so many books on my “to read” list but I have been working on few additional writing projects and I confess I just haven’t been able to read as much as I would like. However, I have been reading a lot of articles while researching content for an upcoming project that will release in early 2021! The surprising facts about why atheists become Christians and vice versa is an excellent and insightful read for every person who has anyone in their life who isn’t a believer. Regardless of whether someone labels themselves an atheist or is simply questioning whether God exists, this article offers clear insights on how to approach conversations with them.
I’m so thankful to be a part of such an awesome blessing! Coaches’ wives are some of the most amazing women I know. They are creative and generous and starting today I’m partnering with an amazing group to bless one coach’s wife with a HUGE pre-Christmas gift! Head to my Instagram account to learn more about how you can enter to receive this blessing on December 5th!
Here are the other participants:
Jordan Harrel with Friday Night Wives
Cassie Carter with Rambling Arrows
Christine Flores with Coach Wife Life
Coaches Wives Ministry
Grace and Gameday
I’m looking forward to participating in another Instagram Photo Challenge for Advent with my writing group! We did a June Photo Challenge and it was a nice way to break up the normal posting.
This challenge is broad enough to allow everyone to participate. The daily words are contemplative and reflective. Just how I want to close out 2020.
We have one more link up for 2020! Today you can head over to Heather’s blog to see what others are sharing for November’s Share Four Something 2020 Link Up!
