Now that we are back in the Midwest and living in a city there are several things we are looking forward to doing after settling in.
Here’s our top five:
Giordano’s Pizza Chicago style pizza is back in our backyard and we couldn’t be happier. Now, I’ll admit I’m a wood-fired pizza fan but there is something comforting about a stuff deep dish pizza that can’t be replicated at home. Believe me, I’ve tried.
Aldi oh Aldi, how I love thee. Your prices can’t be beaten, your isles are quick to get through, and your product quality is delightful. Our new city has 2 Aldi’s and I’m so happy to be a regular shopper at a conveniently located grocery store.
Fan Gear we’ve traded in red and blue for black and orange. We’ve swapped rams for tigers and with that comes the need for a whole new wardrobe of fan gear! I was happy to find an orange t-shirt at Old Navy a few weeks ago (on sale, of course) and black is an easy color to keep in the wardrobe. But we don’t have anything with our new team’s logo yet and that will need to change quickly.
Adjusting to our new schedule For the last several years we’ve had to be up before 7 am to make it to school before 8 am. The kiddos will now be starting closer to 8:30 and 9 am. This means our early days won’t need to be quite so early, but our evenings will come quicker.
Seeing family This is the closest our kids have ever lived to extended family and we are hoping to take advantage of that with day trips and weekend visits. We even have family in the same town! This should make for some fun evenings. We’re just thrilled to allow our kids to know their family better.
I’m linking up with Mrs. Disciple for #FridayFive. Head over and see what other’s “What Now?” include.
